A-VD4C£142.21Vibration damper holding tool for chain driven VAG 1.8 and 2.0L TFSI/ TSI vehicles which are locked in place by a central screw. Middle screw clamps the timing chain gear on the crankshaft. The locking teeth on the surfaces of the gears and the end of the crankshaft are held in position only by the clamping force of the middle screw of the vibration damper. Given that there is no key groove on the chain wheel, the camshaft position will be lost after removing the central bolt and turning the engine. Essential tools required to maintain engine timing when removing the front vibration damper and should be used whenever the vibration damper is removed for instance when replacing front crankshaft oil seal.
