Locking tool kit for chain drive BMW 1.6 N40, N45, N45T petrol engines. Specially designed to adjust or set the camshaft timing and remove or replace timing cam chain. Feature VANOS unit plate required to lock the variable valve timing system in the correct position on the inlet and exhaust camshafts. Suitable for BMW 1 series 116i E81/82/87/88 (2004-2009) and 3 series 316i/ti Compact E46 (2001-2007), 316i E90/91/92/93 (2005-2010). Set includes camshaft locking tool (exhaust and inlet), flywheel locking pin and timing chain pre-tensioning tool. Supplied in carry case.
